The Narrows - Wilderness Cabins on Takla Lake

Welcome to the hidden gem that is "THE NARROWS CAMPGROUND"!

Situated on the Traditional Territory of the Takla Nation on majestic Takla Lake, the fifth largest natural lake in British Columbia. A deep fjord-like lake with the Mitchell Mountains to the east, the Driftwood River flowing in from the north and Middle River draining to the south. The peninsula is also the home of Mount Blanchet Provincial Park.

Enjoy awesome fishing for rainbow trout, lake trout(char), burbot(ling), kokanee, and dolly garden. We have a dock for mooring up and a cement boat launch pad for easy entry and exit. View the early Stuart-Takla sockeye salmon run from about mid-July to mid-August from our handcrafted bridges.

We have three housekeeping cabins with a toilet/cold water shower house close by. You need only bring your own bedding and food. There are propane fridges and stoves in every cabin. There are several camping sites(no hook ups) for RV’s or tents. Some are north facing and others are west facing. Every site and cabin has a picturesque view of Takla Lake with a family friendly swimming beach directly in front.

"The Narrows" is a must to see and experience. There is great fishing and hunting or just enjoying the peaceful outdoors with spectacular mountains all around and an amazing sandy beach to laze the day away on.

We will do their utmost to make your stay an unforgettable camping experience this summer.
